
HOBOKEN, N.J. (1010 WINS) — Authorities in Hoboken recovered the body of a man from the Hudson River on Sunday afternoon, and his death is being investigated as a homicide.
The Hoboken Police Department was notified that a body was spotted in the Hudson River near Pier C Park at about 2:15 p.m., the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office said.
Responding officers found the remains of an adult man and he was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been confirmed.

The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy on the man later this week, which prosecutors said is expected to determine his identity and cause of death.
Additional information will be made available after the prosecutor’s office homicide unit receives the examination results. The investigation is ongoing.
