NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A situation unfolded Tuesday night between Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and his older brother Maximo Sorrentino at the "Jersey Shore" star's New Jersey home.

Mike, 39, called the police after Maximo, 42, allegedly popped up unannounced at the reality TV star's home with gifts for his 3-month-old son Romeo, Mike's rep told TMZ.

"Maximo excessively rang multiple doorbells, peered inside through the glass, lingered a bit and then turned to leave -- but not before leaving all the presents hanging on the doorknob," according to the report.

Mike in July filed a harassment claim against Maximo because he feels he behaves erratically, according to the report.

Maximo says he's upset his younger brother called the police. He said he was just dropping off Puma BMW tracksuits for Mike and Romeo -- but he's learned his lesson: no more dropping by unannounced.
