2 Spectrum News crew members shot, 1 fatally, at scene of earlier homicide in Florida

PINE HILLS, Fla. (1010 WINS) — Two members of a Spectrum News 13 crew were shot, one fatally, at the scene of an earlier homicide in Orange County, Florida on Wednesday, according to the outlet.

Spectrum News has a channel in New York City under the name NY1.

The gunman opened fire around 4:05 p.m. on the 6100 block of Hialeah Street in Pine Hills, police said.

The news crew was on the scene of an investigation into a homicide that took place there around 11:17 a.m. when they were hit, according to officials.

One of the news crew members was reportedly killed and the other is in critical condition.

Local law enforcement announced 19-year-old Keith Melvin Moses was arrested at the scene of the shooting.

Police have not yet made clear what the motivation might have been.

Authorities and Spectrum News 13 have not yet released the names of the victims.
