NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A 49-year-old man was beaten and robbed on a Bronx street by a group earlier this month police said as they released surveillance footage of three suspects on Wednesday.
At approximately 8:44 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, a 49-year-old man was in front of 4781 White Plains Rd. in Wakefield, when four suspects approached and struck him in the head with an unknown object.
According to officials, the group then pushed him off his motor bike, punched and kicked him multiple times in the head and body.
The suspects then stole four cellphones, valued at approximately $3,000, cops said.
One suspect fled the location on the victim's motorbike and the other three fled on foot, traveling northbound on Barnes Avenue.
The victim sustained minor injuries and went to Montefiore Medical Center by private means in stable condition.
Police released footage of three of the suspects sought.
