NEW YORK (BLOOMBERG) -- The Justice Department released redacted transcripts of Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche’s interview with Jeffrey Epstein’s former associate Ghislaine Maxwell saying she never saw President Donald Trump “in any inappropriate setting.”

The public release Friday came as the House Oversight Committee was expecting an initial batch of documents from the department about the sex-trafficking operation run by the late, disgraced financier.

“I actually never saw the President in any type of massage setting,” Maxwell said in the interview. “I never witnessed the President in any inappropriate setting in any way. The President was never inappropriate with anybody. In the times that I was with him, he was a gentleman in all respects.”

The transcript is likely to be the first release in what is expected to be an ongoing production of files to Congress over the course of weeks or months.
