NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Star quarterback Tom Brady will be Fox Sports' lead NFL analyst when he retires.
Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch broke the news in a Fox earnings call Tuesday.
Brady, 44, retired from the NFL in February but then reversed his decision weeks later, saying he'll play for at least another season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The seven-time Super Bowl champ responded to the news on Tuesday, tweeting, "Excited, but a lot of unfinished business on the field with the Buccaneers."
Once he retires, Brady will join lead NFL announcer Kevin Burkhardt as a major part of Fox's football coverage.
"It is entirely up to him when he chooses to retire and move into what will be an exciting television career, that is up to him to make that choice when he sees fit," Murdoch said on Tuesday's call, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
As part of the "long-term agreement," Brady will "also serve as an ambassador for us, particularly with respect to client and promotional initiatives," Murdoch said.
