NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Kyle Rittenhouse will appear for his first post-verdict interview on Fox News with Tucker Carlson on Monday, the channel announced.

According to Fox News, part of Carlson’s interview will air on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” at 8 p.m., with a special on Fox Nation to follow next month.
“Our team has been spending quite a bit of time with Rittenhouse, his lawyers and his family,” Carlson said on his show. “The one thing we haven’t heard about is Kyle Rittenhouse’s view.”
Rittenhouse’s acquittal on all charges after fatally shooting two men last year led to a storm of reactions, and whether they were positive or negative largely fell along party lines.
Carlson said on his show Friday that the verdict was “the right conclusion.”
Rittenhouse, 18, began to choke up, fell forward toward the defense table and then hugged one of his attorneys as he heard a court clerk recite “not guilty” five times Friday. A sheriff’s deputy whisked him out a back door.
