TRENTON, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- New Jersey reported 651 new positive COVID-19 test results and nine new deaths on Tuesday, Gov. Phil Murphy said.

The new test results and fatalities brought the state's case total to 209,342 and its death toll to 14,360, Murphy said.

Of the 651 new positive test results, 114 came back in Ocean County and 91 came back in Monmouth County — the two counties that have seen COVID-19 spikes in recent weeks.

As of Monday, 553 people in the state were hospitalized with confirmed or probable COVID-19 cases, 126 of whom were in intensive care and 43 of whom were on ventilators, the state's online tracker shows.
