NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A private Facebook group called "New Jersey Women For Trump" that was taken down by Facebook on Saturday was back online Sunday after President Trump entered the fray and tweeted about the incident.
"Being restored immediately," Trump tweeted Sunday. "@Facebook stated that they made an 'enforcement error'. Thank you!"
Shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday, Trump shared an article from NJ.com --which first reported the story -- about the page's removal, adding "@Facebook Put them back NOW!
Facebook has not said why the page was taken restored.
Priscilla Confrey, co-director of New Jersey Women For Trump, told NJ.com on Saturday that Facebook did not notify her about the page's removal.
"It was a lot of work over the past year for a private group to just be shut down without notification," Confrey said. "Three days before Election Day? That is absolutely appalling."
"People are really, really mad," she added. "When you have that many people and they're shut down, they feel silenced."
