NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 7-year-old New Jersey boy was critically injured when he was hit by a car while walking home just after being dropped off by his school bus on Thursday, police said.
The driver of the car stopped and cooperated with police after the boy was hit around 3:20 p.m. on the 200 block of Stallion Court in the Marlton section of Evesham, police told NJ.com.
An Evesham police spokesperson told the outlet that the boy, who was flown to Cooper University Hospital in critical but stable condition, "was in close proximity" to his home when he was struck.
The spokesperson did not have information on whether a parent or guardian was with the boy.
An investigation is ongoing.
