NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An inmate at Atlantic County Jail was charged with attempted murder after allegedly attacking another prisoner, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office announced Wednesday.
Shakur Aabid, 26, reportedly attacked the man on Sept. 13.
While the charges of attempted murder imply the attack was serious, authorities did not elaborate on the incident.
The Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit is leading the investigation alongside jail officials.
Aabid remained in custody after the attack.
