FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (1010 WINS) — The treasurer of a Morris County Little League allegedly stole over $30,000 from the organization's checking and savings accounts for years, police said Wednesday as they announced charges.

Daniel Raczynski, 40, is charged with theft and fraudulent use of a credit card/debit card for stealing money from the Florham Park Little League, according to police.

The league became aware of Raczynski's actions in late February, when they discovered missing money and suspicious transactions while preparing their tax reports, according to authorities.

An investigation with the police department and the league's board members revealed money was taken from October 2019 to January 2022.

Raczynski, of Florham Park, surrendered to police on April 25. He was issued a summons with a date to appear in Superior Court in Morristown.

Methods to resolve the money discrepancy between the Little League and Raczynski have failed, officials said.
