NEWARK, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A 31-year-old New Jersey man was arrested for murder in the stabbing death of another man on Saturday, officials said Monday.
The victim, Kevin Williams, 34, and the alleged assailant Michael Wylie, both lived at a homeless shelter in Newark when the stabbing occurred, officials said.
Williams was taken to nearby University Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after 1 a.m. on Sunday morning, authorities said.
No motive for the stabbing has been released yet and the investigation remains ongoing.
