Speeding NJ man pulled over, arrested in Nebraska after police find 20 pounds of cocaine in car

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A New Jersey man was arrested over the weekend in Nebraska after police found 20 pounds of cocaine during a traffic stop.

Nebraska State Patrol pulled over Pablo Suruy Hernandez, 40, of Paterson, driving a BMW X5, on I-80 in York County at around 12:15 p.m. on Saturday for speeding.

During the traffic stop, the trooper became suspicious of “criminal activity.”

After a search of the car, police found 20 pounds of cocaine inside several compartments inside the car.

The York County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the search.

Hernandez was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver.

He was taken to York County Jail.
