WASHINGTON (1010 WINS) — A 37-year-old New Jersey man was convicted by a Washington D.C. jury on Monday for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot, the Department of Justice announced on Wednesday.

Christopher Quaglin or North Brunswick was caught on camera shoving police officers, stealing riot shields and spraying cops with pepper spray.

“You don’t want this fight. You do not want this f***ing fight,” he could be heard saying in one video. “You are on the wrong f***ing side.”

Quaglin was convicted of 12 felony charges and two misdemeanors, including injuring officers, assault, robbery, engaging in physical violence in a restricted building and related charges.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 26, 2023.

More than 1,069 people from almost every state have been charged for their role in the Capitol riot, in which supporters of former President Donald Trump attempted to stop the certification of the 2020 election to block President Joe Biden’s victory.
