EAST ORANGE, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A 39-year-old man was fatally shot as he sat in his car in East Orange on Thursday, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said Friday.
Omar Johnson-Pilgrim was sitting in his car on the 100 block of Steuben Street around 2:44 p.m. when a person on a dirt bike shot him, according to officials.
EMS rushed the victim to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police have not yet made any arrests, and an investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
