NJ man pleads guilty to possession of a pipe bomb, illegal gun after arrest for knife attack

WANAQUE, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A 25-year-old Wanaque man pleaded guilty to possessing a pipe bomb and an illegal assault rifle as well as lunging at someone with a knife, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office announced Wednesday.

Michael Wierciszewski charged a person with a knife on Nov. 24, 2021 near Jackson Street and Whistler Place.

When the Wanaque Police Department investigated, they found Wierciszewski was in possession of an assault rifle and a pipe bomb.

He pleaded guilty to possessing an assault firearm and a destructive device as well as aggravated assault.

Prosecutors are asking for a five-year sentence.
