NJ Penn State student, 19, found dead day after she was reported missing: police

SUMMIT, N.J. (1010 WINS) — The body of a 19-year-old Penn State University student from New Jersey who was reported missing last Thursday was identified by police a day later, authorities said.

State College Police said the body of Justine Gross was found Friday. The Summit, N.J. native was last seen on the night of Nov. 10.

"Preliminary information available to investigators indicates the death to be accidental in nature," police said in a statement. "No further information is available for release at this time and will be provided as possible in the future."

Penn State released a statement, writing, "We are heartbroken for the family and friends of Justine Gross and offer our condolences to all who knew and loved her."

The location of where Gross' body was found has not been released.

The State College Police and the Centre County Coroner's Office said they are investigating the circumstances of her death.
