The 35-year-old Northvale officer, Charles J. Amorosso, was the PBA treasurer when he allegedly made cash withdrawals and transferred money out of multiple PBA bank accounts, authorities said.

Amorosso stole more than $75,000 and used the cash for his personal use, officials said.

The sergeant was suspended from his role and charged with second-degree theft.

His next court appearance is scheduled for May 11.
