NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Police are investigating after a school bus crashed into an Edison, New Jersey home Wednesday morning.
The bus was transporting 30 children to John Adams Middle School in Middlesex County when, at 8:06 a.m., the breaks went out, the Edison Police Department said.
According to Edison Police Chief Thomas Bryan, the bus lost control after driving around a bend on Rahway Road.
Video from WABC-7 shows the crash site, where the school bus drove through a small field and broke down a fence before slamming into the side of the home’s garage.
One student suffered a minor injury, according to officials.
The homeowners were not in the home at the time of the crash, but they are now on the scene of the accident, police said.
Edison Police commend the female bus driver who was able to avoid hitting three other homes.
