GALLOWAY, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A 58-year-old Galloway woman pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of endangering the welfare of a child for abusing two children, ages six and nine, in her care, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Stephanie Gregory admitted to beating the nine-year-old with a metal spatula and starving the child to the point that hospitalization was necessary.

She also admitted to forcing the six-year-old to watch as she beat the nine-year-old.

The abuse took place in 2020, and Gregory was charged in May 2021.

As part of the plea deal, Gregory agreed to serve five years in prison. When she’s released, she’ll be forbidden from having contact with the children and their biological mother.

Sentencing is slated for Aug. 21.
