Willingboro, N.J. (1010 WINS) – A New Jersey woman was arrested on a murder charge after she allegedly bludgeoned her mother to death at the victim’s home this week.

Breanna Beacham, 32, faces a charge of first-degree murder, as well as weapons charges, in connection with the killing at her mother’s home in Willingboro, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.

Beacham was temporarily staying at the home on Hopewell Lane, where officers were called around 4 p.m. Monday for a report of an assault.

When they arrived, they found the body of Kim Beacham-Hanson, 57, prosecutors said.

Investigators believe Beacham-Hanson was bludgeoned to death. An autopsy by the Burlington County medical examiner revealed she died from multiple blunt injuries, according to prosecutors, who didn't name a murder weapon.

Beacham was taken into custody at the scene and jailed pending a detention hearing.

A motive for the attack remains under investigation, prosecutors said.
