NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A New Jersey woman died after a garbage truck hit her on Wednesday, according to a report.
An Interstate Waste Services truck hit Ximena Aguilar, 44, of Belleville, as she was crossing the street at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Little Street in Belleville just before 1 p.m. on Wednesday, police and the Essex County Prosecutor's Office told NJ.com.
Aguilar was pronounced dead at the scene, the outlet reported.
The garbage truck driver remained at the scene and hadn't been charged as of Thursday morning, according to the outlet. An investigation is ongoing.
