VIDEO: Americans could begin to receive Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine by ‘Monday or Tuesday’, HHS director says

Health and Human Services Director Alex Azar said during an appearance on "Good Morning America" Friday morning, that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) would grant Emergency Use Authorization to Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine.

While the process for Emergency Use Authorization has not been finalized, Americans "could see people getting vaccinated Monday, Tuesday of next week," Azar said.

The FDA on Friday also released a statement that said "it will rapidly work toward finalization and issuance of an emergency use authorization" following its advisory panel's endorsement o Thursday.
