CLIFTON, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- An out-of-control car careened off a New Jersey parkway before smashing through a fence and crashing into a townhouse on Wednesday morning, police said.

Photos show the silver sedan wedged between the townhouse and a brick wall at Cambridge Crossings in Clifton after the crash around 11:30 a.m.
The driver lost control of her car and veered off of the Garden State Parkway before plowing through at least one backyard and into a chain-link fence, state police told the Bergen Record.

The sedan traveled more than 100 yards before landing at the townhouse, according to police.
It appears the vehicle also damaged a garage during the incident.

The driver was taken to St. Joseph's University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by state police.
