NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A New Jersey Ikea has been getting an unusual visitor recently—a black bear.
Paramus Police sent out an alert Wednesday morning warning people that a "non-aggressive bear has been spotted in the area of Ikea Drive."
Police urged people not to approach the bear and to contact them if they see the animal.
Bears are often spotted in New Jersey's wooded areas but not close to a shopping hub.
Police said the state told them bears are indigenous to the area.

One shopper, Carol, told 1010 WINS that she's not surprised.
"We've seen them closer than that in Sparta and Andover," she said. "There's a lot of woods still out here, and there is a lot of bear."
Another shopper, Karen, said she knows whose side she's on.
"Good for the bear, good for the bear," she said. "Because we're taking their spaces away."
Shopper Leanne said the sighting is scary.
"You don't know if he's hungry or not, he's been fed. So therefore you could be dinner, lunch, breakfast, whichever he chooses," she said.
Or maybe he just wants some of Ikea's famous meatballs.
