'I wish I could unsee it:' Celebs including Demi Lovato, Meghan McCain, Judd Apatow react to Giuliani's 'Borat' scene

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Not everyone is buying Rudy Giuliani's claim that his appearance in the new "Borat" film -- during which he appears in a compromising position with an actress posing as Borat's daughter -- is a "total fabrication."

Public figures including singer Demo Lovato and "The View" co-host Meghan McCain were among those on Wednesday to question the former New York City mayor's judgement and behavior.

As 1010 WINS previously reported, the scene in the Amazon Studios movie in question includes Giuliani, 76, lying on a bed, tucking in his shirt with his hand down his pants and the woman nearby. This is after the woman -- a 24-year-old actress in reality -- flirts with Donald Trump's lawyer and former New York City mayor, and invites him in the bedroom.

"The Borat video is a complete fabrication," Giuliani tweeted. "I was tucking in my shirt after taking off the recording equipment. At no time before, during, or after the interview was I ever inappropriate. If Sacha Baron Cohen implies otherwise he is a stone-cold liar."

Lovato isn't buying it, though. "So you normally drink with reporters, follow them to the bedroom and then lie on the bed and let her take off your mic for you? I guess I've been doin my interviews all wrong..."

Actor Josh Gad tweeted, "Well, looks like the cat's out of the pants. Having seen #Borat. I can now safely tell you #RudyGiuliani is over in a very big way. It's worse than you think and more uncomfortable than anything I've seen in a recent film, documentary or otherwise."

McCain chimed in, "WHY IS EVERYTHING SO DISGUSTING?!?!!!"

Director Judd Apatow, whose credits include "The King of Staten Island" and "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," also tweeted in response to Gad, writing, "I saw it. I wish I could unsee it. But Borat 2 is hilarious."
