NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Hope Hicks, who was one of President Trump's senior advisers, worked her last day at the White House on Tuesday, but her departure was planned before last week's siege on the U.S. Capitol by pro-Trump rioters, according to multiple reports.

According to reports, Hicks was always planning to leave this week since Trump's presidency was winding down.

Hicks declined to comment on her departure.

Hicks "hasn't been at the White House much in recent weeks after she felt her influence waned after she pushed back" on Trump's voter fraud claims, according to CNN.

Hicks resigned from her role as communications director in 2018. She then headed to Los Angeles to work for Fox Corp., and then returned to the White House in February 2020.
