NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- First lady Jill Biden surprised former first lady Michelle Obama with a “care package” this week: a basket filled with fresh vegetables straight from the White House garden.
Obama shared a photo of the present on her Instagram page on Tuesday.
“So thankful for this beautiful care package from our amazing @FLOTUS!” she wrote. “These fresh veggies from the White House Kitchen Garden were such a wonderful — and delicious — surprise.”
“Love you, Jill!” she added.
Obama planted the 2,800-square-foot White House Kitchen Garden on the presidential home’s South Lawn in 2009, according to the National Park Service.
Three years later, she published a book about the endeavor: “American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America.”
