NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A White House official and a senior spokesperson for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi have tested positive for COVID-19, according to a report.

The spokesperson and the White House official — both of whom were fully vaccinated — attended the same reception in Washington, D.C. last week, Axios reported.

The spokesperson “helped usher a delegation of Democratic Texas lawmakers around the Capitol last week,” six of whom later tested positive for COVID-19, according to the outlet.

The spokesperson did not have any contact with Pelosi after being exposed to COVID-19, and the White House official did not have any “recent direct contact” with President Joe Biden, the outlet reported.

Both the spokesperson and the White House official are “mildly symptomatic,” the outlet noted.
