NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A pro-Trump mob stormed the U.S. Capitol Wednesday in deadly siege, leaving a nation and lawmakers in a state of shock.
Lawmakers found themselves seeking cover under benches in the chamber, donning gas masks, and hunkered down in their locked offices fearful for their lives as rioters ransacked the complex.
In the Monique Coppola-hosted 1010 WINS special report, "Inside the Siege at the U.S. Capitol," lawmakers who were in D.C., as well as others, speak about what President-elect Joe Biden called, one of the "darkest days" in the nation's history led by "domestic terrorists."
"Inside the Siege at the U.S. Capitol" includes interviews with former FBI agent and ABC analyst Brad Garrett, former Rep. Peter King, Rep. Brenda Lawrence, Sen. Carolyn Maloney, Sen. Bob Menendez, Rep. Brad Sherman, Rep. Richie Torres, and Rep. Maxine Waters.
