Trump pardons former national security adviser Michael Flynn

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- President Trump announced on Wednesday afternoon that he has pardoned former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

Flynn held the position for the first 22 days of the Trump administration before resigning.

"It is my Great Honor to announce that General Michael T. Flynn has been granted a Full Pardon. Congratulations to @GenFlynn and his wonderful family, I know you will now have a truly fantastic Thanksgiving!," he tweeted.

Flynn pleaded guilty in 2017 to lying to the FBI during an investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election,
