NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- President Donald Trump has spoken with advisers about pardoning himself before his term is up, according to reports.
Two people familiar with the matter said Trump "has suggested to aides he wants to pardon himself," the New York Times reported.
He has also "asked whether he should and what the effect would be on him legally and politically," the outlet reported.
The discussions reportedly took place between Election Day and Wednesday, when hundreds of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol building in a failed effort to halt the election certification process.
ABC News confirmed that Trump spoke with advisers about pardoning himself.
A White House spokesman did not return the New York Times' request for comment on the matter.
