NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- While President Trump has been claiming for weeks that mail-in ballots will delay the officials results of the election for several weeks -- with his opponents claiming he'll likely delay the results somehow if they don't bode well for him -- he seemingly remained positive on Tuesday.
"It would be very, very proper and very nice if a winner were declared on November 3rd, instead of counting ballots for two weeks," Trump told reporters outside the White House.
He said such a delay would be "totally inappropriate, and I don't believe that that's by our laws. I don't believe that. So we'll see what happens."
Looking past Election Day, Trump said he has set his sights on a stimulus deal.
"We'll -- after the election, we'll get the best stimulus package you've ever seen, because I think we're going to take back the House because of (Nancy Pelosi)," Trump said. "I think you have a lot of congressmen and women -- Republican -- that are going to get elected. We'll take back the House. We'll hold the Senate. We'll hold the White House."
