Rail service in, out of Hoboken Terminal resumes after police activity leads to suspensions

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Rail service in and out of Hoboken Terminal resumed Thursday morning about an hour after police activity led to service suspensions at the transit hub.

NJ Transit service resumed shortly after 7 a.m. with up to 60-minute delays. Hudson-Bergen Light Rail service also resumed with up to 30-minute delays.


Police activity on Grove Street, near 18th Street, had suspended service in and out of the station earlier in the morning.

WABC reported that police investigated a suspicious package near the tracks and that the package was cleared by a bomb squad.
