NEW YORK (1010WINS) Calling the Pup-arazzi! Local rescue dogs will be strutting their stuff in Manhattan as part of "Rescue On The Runway" presented by Pet Retail World, Saturday, December 10th.
Adoptables from Waggy Tail Rescue, Second Chance Rescue NYC and No More Pain Rescue will make their way along the catwalk.
While many of these dogs have had it "ruff", event spokesman Rich Cordero tells 1010 WINS, he's amazed by their resilience. "They also have this positive energy and are so happy, still. I know people are going to fall in love with these dogs once they walk the runway", said Cordero.
Cordero notes that the dogs will be groomed before the show and can go "au naturale" if they prefer, with none being forced to wear an outfit if they don't want to.
You can also bring your own dog to participate in a attendee fashion show. "We want to see some amazing outfits and designs," Cordero told 1010wins, "so dress to impress and wow the crowd."
In addition to serving as an adoption event, Rescue On The Runway will raise money for the featured rescue organizations through ticket sales, as well as through an auction featuring doggie designer duds and other items.
Rescue On The Runway takes place Saturday, December 10th from 3 to 9pm at 873 Broadway at 18th St. in Manhattan. Tickets run from $55 for general admission to $99 for VIP admission.
