LYNCHBURG Va. (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) A Sheetz in Lynchburg gave eight year old, Dylan LaMotte a gift he will remember forever.
LaMotte is a Sheetz super fan, going every day with his mother to get his favorite order, slushies and fries.
On a normal visit, he will also wave to a picture of Sheetz co-founder Steve Sheetz that is hanging on the wall.
His mother, Tiffanie McGregor, posted a video to her Facebook of her son receiving a “Youngest Sheetz Employee” shirt, along with a hat and nametag.
LaMotte says he has been helping call order numbers and give customers their food for about a week and loving every second of it.
He hopes to one day become a full time employee at Sheetz.
The company noticed and decided to surprise their youngest Sheetz Freak.
On Thursday, Steve Sheetz welcomed LaMotte to the store and made him the official youngest employee ever.
Steve Sheetz would say that this young man has a huge passion for the comapny.
The biggest gift was yet to come; Steve Sheetz then gifted the young fan with a gift card for $5,000 and free slushies for the rest of his childhood.
LaMotte jumped, screamed, and hugged the co-founder while McGregor teared up saying it was the gift of his dreams.
Surely a gift that will keep on giving and a day that the family will never forget.
