MANORHAVEN, N.Y. (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police are investigating after one man was killed and another injured in a demolition at a Long Island home on Monday.
According to detectives, at about 11:43 a.m. officers responded to a residence located at 56 Kirkwood Rd. in Manorhaven for two workers that suffered injuries during the demolition of the home when a concrete wall collapsed on the men.
A 56-year-old man was transported to an area hospital for minor injuries. The second victim, a 20-year-old man, suffered a cardiac arrest while being transported to the hospital and was pronounced dead by hospital staff.
The investigation is ongoing.
