JERICHO, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — Three firefighters were injured in a fire that occurred at a home on Long Island Christmas night, Nassau County officials said.
According to detectives, at around 10:21 p.m., officers responded to a house fire on Vista Drive in Jericho.
The home sustained significant damage and was attached to other residences which were also damaged, according to the Jericho Fire Department.
One firefighter was transported to an area hospital for an ankle injury and one firefighter was transported for difficulty breathing. A third was treated on the scene.
The Nassau County fire marshal and arson bomb squad also responded to the scene, officials said.
The cause of the fire is unclear.
The investigation remains ongoing.
