
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Six people were injured in a two-car crash on the Hutchinson River Parkway in Westchester early Monday morning, authorities said.
The crash happened shortly after midnight in the northbound lanes near Lincoln Avenue in Rye Brook, according to officials.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a driver was traveling in the wrong direction when he crashed into another vehicle.
The driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Westchester Medical Center. The other victims in the crash are being treated for non life-threatening injuries.
The northbound lanes of the Hutchinson River Parkway were closed but later reopened.
Authorities are investigating the events leading up to the collision.
