NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man who allegedly made his way into a congressperson's office during the Capitol riot was arrested at his home on Long Island on Thursday, prosecutors say.
Justin McAuliffe, 39, of Bellmore, was arrested for participating in the siege on the Capitol Thursday morning, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York said.
Prosecutors say McAuliffe was one of thousands of Trump supporters who stormed the Capitol building on Jan. 6. A selfie McAuliffe posted to Facebook and obtained by the FBI allegedly shows him standing outside the Capitol alongside rioters holding Trump flags.

"You're welcome," the Long Island resident allegedly captioned the photo, adding that he was "feeling blessed."
A photo taken inside the Capitol building, meanwhile, shows McAuliffe flashing a "peace" sign inside a congressperson's office, prosecutors say. It wasn't clear whose office the photo was taken inside.
After the riot, McAuliffe allegedly had a Facebook conversation with another person in which he admitted he was "in one of the offices."

"Some people were smoking a joint in the room, lol," he wrote, according to a screenshot obtained by the FBI. "Cops came in and weee [sic] like. Okay guys really? They didn't even ask us to leave right away. They let us sit down and hang out and relax."
McAuliffe's attorney on Thursday afternoon declined to comment on his arrest.
