
FREEPORT, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Officials arrested a teen boy accused of slashing another teen with a boxcutter during a fight at a Long Island high school on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
According to Nassau County detectives, two male students of Freeport High School, located at 50 S. Brookside Ave. in Freeport, were involved in an altercation that became physical.
During the altercation, a 15-year-old boy used a boxcutter knife to cause lacerations to a 14-year-old boy.
Accompanied by a parent, the 14-year-old victim was transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The 15-year-old boy was arrested without incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
