WEST HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- A teen boy was arrested on Wednesday for a gunpoint robbery at a Long Island dry cleaners earlier this week, authorities said.
The teen was charged with robbery in the first degree, detectives said.
At about 4:46 p.m., on Monday, Oct. 23, the suspect entered the Millennium Dry Cleaners located at 323 Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead, according to police.
The teen walked behind the counter and displayed a handgun while demanding cash, officials said.
The victim complied and the suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of money.
There were two employees and no customers present inside the location at the time of the robbery.
No injuries were reported.
The teen will be arraigned on Thursday in Hempstead.
