NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The state has suspended the union leader of court officers after he posted the address of Chief Judge Janet DiFiore on social media during an ongoing dispute over coronavirus mandates.

Court Officers Union President Dennis Quirk posted DiFiore’s Westchester and Hamptons addresses on Facebook in an attempt to inspire officers to picket her home after she announced that she intended to require court officers to be vaccinated to continue working.

"Advocating for union members does not include creating security risks and jeopardizing the safety of the Chief Judge or the Court Officers and State Troopers on her security detail," said Lucian Chalfen, a spokesperson for the Office of Court Administration. "What kind of law enforcement officer does that?"

Quirk had also posted DiFiore’s office line to his Facebook page, asking members to voice their opinions on the mandate.

“Hit star 67 before number so they don’t know who is calling . Be respectful and call as many times as you like,” he wrote in that post.

On Friday night, Quirk continued to attack the state’s top judge over his suspension.

“Today Chief Judge Janet DiFiore the most CORRUPT AND UNETHICAL JUDGE in the history of the NYS COURT SYSTEM suspended me for providing her home addresses for court employees to picket her  to express their outrage at her refusal to follow the EEOC regulation to negotiate the mandatory Covid Vaccine with all court unions,” he wrote in the Facebook post.

“She cannot suspend me from the Union and will continue working 24/7 representing my members,” he added.

Quirk has been charged with misconduct and suspended without pay for thirty days with his firearms privileges revoked, Chalfen said.
