(1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Nassau County officials are searching for three men accused of throwing a firework inside a Long Island 7-Eleven late Wednesday night.
According to detectives, at 11:33 p.m. a man entered the 7-Eleven located at 254 Elmont Rd. in Elmont and lit a single firework then threw it into the store's middle isle.
The firework's explosion caused damage to the surrounding store shelves and merchandise.
The Elmont Fire Department responded on the scene to extinguish the flames and no injuries were reported.
The suspect was last seen wearing all dark clothing and a face mask. Two additional men at the scene fled on foot westbound on Hoffman Avenue, officials said.
