NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 12-year-old girl drowned in a backyard pool on Long Island Monday night, police said Tuesday.
Officers responding to a 911 call found Addison Delossantos unresponsive in the pool behind her home on Association Road in Bellport around 7:20 p.m. on Monday, Suffolk County police said.
Delossantos was taken to Long Island Community Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, according to police.
The Medical Examiner's office will determine how she died, police said. An investigation is ongoing.
