YAPHANK, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Police on Monday arrested a homeless man and woman for a string of burglaries at Long Island businesses since Thursday.
According to detectives, Ralph Pergola, 44, and Kristin DiGiglio, 35, committed burglaries at five Suffolk County businesses between Oct. 19 and Oct. 23.
Pergola and DiGiglio allegedly broke the glass front door of the business and stole money from a register.
Police said the pair's spree began on Oct. 19, when they allegedly burglarized the Setauket Village Diner in East Setauket and Café Spiga in Mt. Sinai.
They're also accused of burglarizing Barcode Smoke Shop in Centereach on Oct. 21, Port Smoke & Vape Shop in Port Jefferson Station on Oct. 22, and Better on a Bagel Express in Coram on Oct. 23.
Pergola and DiGiglio were each charged with five counts of burglary third degree.
DiGiglio is being held at the Fourth Precinct and Pergola is being held at the Sixth Precinct. They will both be arraigned on Tuesday.
