VALLEY STREAM, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — Fire officials are investigating a blaze inside a Long Island home Tuesday morning that killed an 18-year-old man from India.
At around 11:22 a.m. firefighters responded to a residential fire on Keller Street near North Grove Street in Valley Stream.
Upon arrival, the fire department observed the house which was "fully engulfed in flames" and located the victim, Sarabraj Singh, inside, according to Nassau County Police.
He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A firefighter also suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The investigation is ongoing by the Nassau County Fire Marshal’s office and Arson/Bomb Squad.
