NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie and Assemblyman Ron Kim have tested positive for COVID-19, they said Tuesday.
"Dear friends and colleagues, unfortunately I have tested positive for COVID," Kim wrote on Twitter Tuesday afternoon. "I am well and have only mild symptoms. I am in quarantine and have cancelled in-person engagements for the next 10 days."
In his own tweet, Heastie wrote that he, too, was "currently experiencing only extremely mild symptoms."
After feeling under the weather, I was tested for COVID-19 and received a positive result this morning. I am currently experiencing only extremely mild symptoms. I am in frequent contact with my physician and look forward to a full recovery.
