NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Suffolk County Police arrested a man Sunday night for driving while intoxicated with a child in his vehicle following a crash in Huntington Station.
At approximately 9:20 p.m., 34-year-old Denis Manzaneras-Orellana was driving a 2000 Honda sedan on East 10th Street, between Varney and Mulford avenues, when he crashed the vehicle into an unoccupied parked car, officials said.
Manzaneras-Orellana's 12-year-old son was a passenger in the Honda.
Officers responded to the scene and determined Manzaneras-Orellana was intoxicated at the time of the collision and was placed under arrest.
Neither he nor his son was injured.
Manzaneras-Orellana was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child passenger 15-years-old or younger and endangering the welfare of a child.
The 12-year-old was released to a family member.
Manzaneras-Orellana is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on March 7.
